I went Mt.Zao in Sep 7,2009.

It was the third time that I went had been to Zao, but I wasn't able to watch the Okama twice either.
Okama is pot of the mauntaintop, it is five colors lake.

I went by bicycle this time. It was fine and I watched splendid scenery. I climbed 1740 meters in one day. This is the personal record. I'm satisfied.

I travelled on "Shimanami-Kaido" by bicycle. "Shimanami-Kaido" is the bridges which links Shikoku and Honshu. It grows six islands at seven bridges. This way is a highway, but the sidewalk and bicycle toad are added. "Shimanami-Kaido" has a total distance of 80 kilometers. I stayed for 1 day in Omishima Island and amused the scenic islands of the Seto Inland Sea. However, these bridges are one of the causes that deteriorated Japan's national finance.

I climbed Mt. Kinabalu(4095m) in Malaysia which wanted to go if I had a chance.
We went from Narita Airport to Kota Kinabalu.

On the next morning, we begun to climb from Timpon Gate(1866m).

The first day, we climbed the stepped mountain trail to a rest house of Laban Rata (3,272m).

On the second day, we aimed at Lows Peak(4095m) the top of the mountaintop leaving at 2:30 a.m.
From photographs of the mountaintop is a terrible rock peak, but a rope is set in the dangerous points and while it is still gloomy, there is not a sense of fear.

Tourists from various countries in the world turned their head lamps.
I saw a lot of Islam women wearing tudung (scarf).

Breathing is painful at that altitude, but my willpower continues somehow because the altitude of Mt. Fuji(3776m), a sharp south peak (3,921m), 4,000m ;
near aims approached sequentially.

It is a mountain you can climb in two days, but the high place has scenery which I cannot see from other mountains.

For a feasibility study of The Map Trip Society, I went to Koga in Ibaraki.
This map is on a scale one to 20000 surveyed in 1885.
In this neighborhood, the topography changed after the river was repaired at the end of the Meiji period.

Koga was a castle town, but the castle was in low land and assumed Watarase River a moat.

The site of castle became a dyke and is a riverbed now, and there is on trace of it.
I walked Ibaraki,Saitama,Gunma and Tochigi today.
It is the spot of the prefectual border here, and I can trace into 4 prefectures by walking only 6 km.

My road bicycle, Katakura Silk,was is very old. I don't ride at all. I wanted to know bicycles, so I went to a cycle-shop, TOKU, for the test ride.
Because the size fits it me , it is TREK madone Pro 6.9 to have chosen.
This is very expensive.
An impression after the test ride：This is "another vehicle".
I can certainly run at high speed.
I feel the slope of 5% to 2-3%. The ride is comfortable, and the handling is easy.
I thought that even though my worldly desires were gone, I couldn't help but fall in love with this bike.

In Tokushima, Mt.Bizan to be equivalent to Mt.Kanouzan in the Boso Peninsula. There is the hill climbing course that is near from the city.

The water service building of the bake bricks was left in Sako. It was built for Taisho period.
